Killowen Barantuil X Green Acres Bruno Clair Cask 70cl

Killowen prides itself on doing things the old-fashioned way. It’s one of the few distilleries using direct flame-fired stills, worm tub condensers, and wooden washbacks — all of which contribute to a distinctive, robust spirit character.

Developed as a contemporary acknowledgement of Pure Pot Still Irish Whiskey, using the Killowen style of production, this whiskey cannot currently be called ‘Pot Still’, which was temporarily legislated from existence. But thanks to the efforts of historians and true Irish whiskey appreciators, Pot Still of this style will soon retake its rightful place at the heart of Irish distilling.

1 - Wheat
1 - Malted Rye

The grain is milled freshly on site during mash in.

Deservedly, Green Acres holds exclusive rights to Domaine Bruno Clair in Ireland. This particular bottling spent most of its life in an ex-Bourbon cask before spending 4 months in a luxurious 120-liter cask from Domaine Bruno Clair, specifically a cuvée from Les Véroilles.
