Medium intensity, deep ruby, lovely even colour. Very open and expressive nose, fresh crushed blackberries and black cherries, cedar, leather, liquorice and chocolate. Palate shows good initial fruit, good acidity and good concentration. Medium balance, very elegant and a lovely finesse. Length is very good. Delicious, very fine tannins, elegant. Superb. 18/20. Tasted by Donal Morris, Greenacres at Chateau Leoville Barton 10:30 am 14th April 2010.
